Sheila Woodhouse MD, MBA, FACC
Dr. Sheila Woodhouse is a practicing cardiologist, business advisor, director of clinical research, technology innovator, health IT consultant, medical director and board member. Her experience and leadership spans two decades, during which she has been engaged as a healthcare consultant, speaker, equity partner, advisory and general board member, and subject matter expert for reputable public and private companies.
Dr. Woodhouse was and remains a board certified practicing Cardiologist. She utilizes her extensive experience, expertise, and knowledge in business and knowledge in technology to drive healthcare technology innovations, policy, data analytics and quality improvement as well as research.
The business of healthcare within the clinical, business and technology intersection is where her expertise are used to advise, collaborate with existing companies, venture capitalist or investors, other large international consulting firms and technology startups, as well as participating on or working with the executive team to accomplish specific goals.
She is a leader in early technology adoption and use in medicine with a focus and interest on interoperability, data analytics, remote monitoring and the foundation and drivers of machine learning in healthcare and research.
She holds a Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, Project Management Institute, WELCOA (Wellness Council of America), and Corporate Health and Wellness Associations. She is an active member of the National Black MBA Association, and is registered with the federal government as a member of the National Association of Government Contractors, Certified Minority Business and National Women Small Business Owner.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Member of the American Heart Association (Council on Women with Heart Disease), Association of Black Cardiologists, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, Society of Cardiac CT and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Woodhouse has served for many years on the committee with the American Heart Association Go Red campaign, and is one of the founding members of the Atlanta American Heart Association Circle of Red. She is also a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (medical technology).
